Josh Durham

BIG - Founder of Gamut Project Solutions & Managing Principal
Certified Respectful Worksite Trainer

Josh has spent two decades changing skylines in the Pacific Northwest, building some of the biggest and most challenging commercial construction projects in the region. Working in market sectors from government and education to office development and airport terminals, Josh has directed more than $1 billion in large scale commercial construction. He also holds the distinction – rare in today’s world – of starting and finishing every project he’s been a part of. This gives him a holistic perspective on the entire design & construction process, and a unique skill set to help clients overcome their toughest challenges on projects. His passion is using what he has learned to help Make Building Easier for everyone.

He guides our clients to successful outcomes, avoiding the pitfalls and taking the proactive steps that save time, money, and headaches in a high-stakes business. For Josh, construction is less about what you build, and more about who you build up.

Krista Bailey

BIG - Principal

Krista brings more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate operations, development, and capital planning. She has led multi-disciplinary teams through complex design and construction projects, from new builds to adaptive reuse and major renovations. With deep knowledge of land use and permitting, Krista is adept at navigating regulatory environments and building strong relationships with agencies and stakeholders.

Her background includes senior leadership roles overseeing dozens of multi-million-dollar projects, where she has proven her ability to manage intricate contracts, align diverse partners, and drive projects to successful outcomes. Known as an astute owner and user advocate, Krista excels at fostering collaboration among consultants and contractors to keep teams focused on shared goals.

Chris Prahl

BIG - Senior Construction/Project Manager, technical skills trainer

Chris is a lifelong Oregonian with nearly two decades in the construction industry, including more than 15 years in executive leadership. A certified Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) professional, he brings extensive experience delivering complex, high-impact public works projects across sectors such as education, civic, and infrastructure. Chris has successfully led projects under a wide range of contracting methods, including CM/GC, Design-Build, and Hard Bid, ensuring the right approach is matched to each client’s goals. Known for building high-performing teams and fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders, he has overseen more than $300 million in large-scale projects. Drawing on his background in operations, strategic planning, and community-focused initiatives, Chris is committed to ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and budget, and with a collaborative spirit from start to finish.

Summer Olson

BIG - Construction/Project Manager, technical skills trainer

Summer Olson has a unique perspective in today’s commercial construction industry. With a degree in architecture and nearly a decade of field experience as an engineer for the region’s largest general contractor, she brings a holistic view to the project delivery process. Summer understands the challenges facing both designers and builders; she uses her strong communication skills to create relationships that bridge the gap between industries, disciplines, and team members. The result is increased efficiency and productivity, improved project morale, and positive outcomes for all parties.

In Summer’s years of experience, she’s had her hand in a variety of large-scale projects, including high rises, office buildings, courthouses, historical renovations, and data centers.

Lisa Durham

BIG - Preconstruction & Construction/Project Manager, technical skills trainer

Lisa Durham’s passion is making the delivery process easier for all partners involved in a project, from owners and stakeholders to design teams and contractors. Lisa understands commercial construction from the ground up: she spent over 12 years working for one of the biggest general contractors in Oregon. During that time, Lisa helped set up projects for success during preconstruction & design, ensure quality, and managed the schedule and budget for the duration of the construction process. Her well-rounded expertise in large scale public sector construction projects, along with her highly collaborative approach to problem solving, is a major asset to all of our clients.

Lisa Quiroga

Lisa has been in the commercial construction industry for over 17 years, working both domestically and internationally with a variety of different project types, including heavy civil, vertical structures, wastewater plants, parking structures, hospitals, cleanrooms, schools, and more. Lisa Quiroga brings experience from several large companies and nearly two decades of commercial construction scheduling to all of her projects. She works in multiple scheduling softwares, including Oracle Primavera, Asta PowerProject, and Microsoft Project to name a few. Lisa understands that each project has a different set of requirements, needs, and goals, and she leverages her knowledge to ensure they are all achieved for our clients.

Jason Freeborn

Prior to establishing KFJ Cost Studio, Jason Freeborn served as Director of Preconstruction for a large multi-discipline subcontractor, and Senior Estimator for the region’s largest general contractor. For over 25 years he provided cost estimating and preconstruction planning for challenging projects in health care, K-12 Education, higher education, housing, office development, government, and more. Jason uses his experience and comprehensive knowledge of construction to help owners, designers, builders, and user groups make the value-based decisions that deliver the most building for the money. His range of experience managing work both in the field and at the most senior levels is unmatched in the field of cost & estimating.

Bernie Bishoff

BIG - Construction & Project Manager

Bernie has over 30 years of construction experience across a broad range of project types. He has a passion for team development, bringing diverse people together to maximize individual skills and maintain focus on project goals. His background includes government, commercial and high-tech and vertical construction management, ranging from $1M to $5B. Bernie works to help streamline process, documentation, tracking, and most importantly the human side of the project. Years of coaching and mentoring both owners/managers and employees informs Bernie’s focus on these topics as he shares insights gained over a long career in the construction industry.

Brandon Laws

Brandon has over 15 years of experience helping small and mid-sized businesses create and execute successful marketing campaigns and business growth strategies. From brand identity and messaging to website design, Brandon helps clients develop a marketing strategy that adds value and builds capacity. Beyond marketing, he also leads technology implementation and training—supporting organizations in adopting operational and HR products such as knowledgebase systems, AI tools, and other workplace technologies. Brandon has provided one-on-one coaching and group classes to teach clients the skills they need not only to improve their marketing efforts but also to leverage modern technology for efficiency and growth. His wide range of business development, marketing, and technology skills allow him to adapt to and fit all of our clients’ branding, operations, and HR needs.

Mark Spangler

Mark has worked in the Northwest AEC industry for more than 25 years, providing marketing support and coordination for contractors, engineers, and designers. A skilled writer and editor with a comprehensive understanding of marketing for the built environment, Mark helps clients develop strong collateral materials, from general qualifications to project-specific RFP responses, interview preparation, project updates to stakeholders, and more. As the lead marketing writer for the Pacific Northwest’s largest general contractor, he played a key role in winning over $1 billion in new work, in markets including advanced technology, health care, government, education, and private development. Mark’s strong communication skills make him highly effective at working with all levels of the project team, from designers and engineers to operations managers and construction field personnel.
